2022 National Workshop on Data Science Education
Information about the upcoming workshop at UC Berkeley.
UC Berkeley's Division of Computing, Data Science, and Society, with support from Microsoft and the West Big Data Innovation Hub, is gearing up for the 2022 National Workshop on Data Science Education, to be held at UC Berkeley from June 27-30.
With data science courses expanding across institutions all over the United States, this is guaranteed to be an informative workshop. UC Berkeley is leading the charge in California with their Data 8 course material. At UCSB, Data 8 has provided a template for introductory Data Science courses (CMPSC 5A and CMPSC 5B), which are taught quarterly by Sharon Solis.
Sharon, who regularly interacts with Central Coast Data Science fellows and faculty, will represent UCSB at the workshop's June 29 panel on the California Alliance for Data Science Education.
