Data Science at Cal State San Bernardino

A targeted summer internship program and project-based learning will impact student success.

As an Hispanic Serving Institution, CSUSB has ample reason to focus on the specialized needs of Data Science training, and have taken steps to capitalize on opportunities for our students to benefit from the growing technology-based industries in the region. CSUSB is transitioning its academic calendar to the semester system in Fall 2020, which is a great opportunity to implement and evaluate the new courses proposed in this program, and re-imagine the best pedagogical and learning experience in Data Science. In addition to course transformations, we expect the targeted summer internship program, high impact practices of project-based learning and transfer advisement will have a tangible and positive impact on student success.
